Product Photography for Estelle Yarns

Wholesale Yarn Photography, Image Editing & Visual Consistency

Role: Photographer, Editor

Objective

As the in-house designer and product photographer at Estelle Yarns, I create and refine product imagery for both seasonal B2B catalogues and the company website. My work focuses on accurately representing yarn through yarn ball photography, close-up shade and texture details, and consistent image treatment across multiple brands and product lines.

Because products and colour launches are often planned months in advance, imagery must clearly communicate texture, colour, and quality—sometimes before physical stock is available.

Solution

I manage yarn photography and image editing as part of the seasonal product and catalogue workflow. When samples are available, I photograph yarn balls (skeins) and close-up shade details, ensuring consistent lighting and accurate colour representation for both print and web use.

When physical products or full shade ranges are not yet in stock, I work with supplier- or retailer-provided images, editing and Photoshopping images together to create complete, cohesive product visuals. This includes colour correction, compositing, background cleanup, and standardizing imagery to match Estelle Yarns’ visual and branding requirements.

All images are prepared for CMYK print catalogues and RGB website use, ensuring reliable, professional visuals that support wholesale decision-making and online product presentation.
